Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Aviation, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years in aviation operations, maintenance, or airline Safety Management System (SMS) administration, with hands-on SMS implementation and familiarity with safety reporting tools like AQD.
• Experience in customer support and project management, with the ability to lead safety initiatives and training programs.
• Broad knowledge of airline operations, airline regulatory procedures, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent presentation and technical writing abilities.
• Skilled in using safety data tools and applying best practices in aviation safety management.

What’s The Role All About?

• The SMS Administration Specialist/Officer assists the MGR - SMS Administration in planning, organizing, and administering the implementation of PAL SMS and measuring SMS performance to ensure continuous improvement and compliance to regulatory standards.
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Manage and maintain the Safety Management Manual (SMM) and related written safety processes.
• Administer the Safety Library (AQD) , overseeing safety reports, hazard and risk data, and safety modules.
• Review daily safety reports and conduct safety risk assessments in coordination with concerned departments.
• Deliver SMS training programs (online and in-person) and provide SMS guidance across all levels, including executive leadership.
• Lead safety promotion initiatives, including development of memos, bulletins, and campaign materials.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities (e.g., CAAP) to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements.
• Support risk management activities, including hazard identification, mitigation planning, and monitoring of safety performance indicators.
• Provide safety oversight and SMS support for PAL Express operations.
• Lead and manage safety projects and initiatives aligned with the organization's safety objectives.
• Contribute to accident/incident investigations and preparation of safety committee reports and documentation.
